(Young adults may be eligible for the following services based upon need and available funds.)

Housing:

Aftercare will assist young adults to locate suitable housing based on individual needs.  For example:  CCC, Job Corps, transitional housing, room for rent, roommate situation, and community housing programs.  Aftercare will also assist with apartment searching, completion of the application process, and utility connection.

Employment:

Aftercare will train young adults to become employable.  For example:  Assistance with interview skills, employment referrals, community employment program referrals, completing applications, and job searching.  Finances are available for uniforms, interview attire, or tools needed for entering employment.

Education:

Aftercare will assist young adults to locate appropriate educational programs.  For example: Assistance with the entire college enrollment process including assistance with completing all financial aid paperwork, locate vocational programs, enrollment in G.E.D. or adult education program, and accessing scholarships available through state programs and ILP. 

Transportation:

Aftercare will assist with transportation needs based on individual plan.  For example:  Bus passes for young adults actively seeking employment, employed, or attending educational programs.  Young adults are eligible for bus passes up to 3 months for the duration of participation in the aftercare program.  Insurance deposit assistance is available for young adults who own cars.  Aftercare will assist with accessing Car Match Funds available through ILP.

Life Skills:

Aftercare will provide various trainings to assist young adults in their transition to adulthood.  For example:  Obtaining of important documents, development of a budget, and connecting young adult with community resources.

Finance:

Aftercare will assist young adult with learning and understanding proper money management.  Including:  personal budget, opening bank accounts, training in frugal shopping methods.
